This was our spiel for this year's contest but voting and contribution is now closed... however, the Record of the Year will revive again in 2010.
For many years we went through terrestrial TV and ITV but it became apparent that the results were reflecting FAN BASE for the artistes more than genuine support for the tracks, and ITV seemed to care more about income from phone votes than the quality of the programme so we’ve gone INTERNET for the moment. Below is the list of the ten finalists for 2009. You will see individual windows for each track in the VIEW section above. Click there to see any VIDEOS - both for the track and those made by the You Tube, My Space, online community… We want to encourage two aspects - performance (miming to hits but performing) and interpretation (your own very different interpretations of the songs).
If you want to make your own video – dancing or miming or singing or animating any of the songs, do it, put it up on your favourite site and let us know what it is, where it is… Simply send us the link to CONTACT and sit back and wait!
